Simple Rules

Your photo should be taken in or around Alfreton (can be from any of the surrounding villages) and should contain any of the following, trees, plants, fields, local landmarks, animals, birds, people, sunsets - sunrises, waterscapes, etc. the main emphasis of the photograpgh should be on nature. You may enter as many photographs as you like.

How to Enter

Entering, is simple and easy to do, takes about 3 or 4 minutes to do. Simply register, add your photo to the "Alfreton Photo Competition" Category and then vote and commment on other people's photo's. Only images uploaded into the "Alfreton Photo Competition" Category will be accepted as entries into the competition.

Uploading files

We recommend that you upload *.jpg (JPEG) photo's which are below 300 kb's in size and are less than 1,000 X 1,000 pixels or you may experience problems uploading them. If you do have problems, and you have covered the items just mentioned, then please use the contact form and send us the details of the error message you get and we will try to help you resolve your problem.

Public comments and votes will also be taken into account when final judging takes place - (only registered users can get to view comments and vote).

The Prize

The Winner of Alfreton's Photographic Competition 2009

will have their winning photo added to the header graphic of Alfreton Online for 1 year
